Sharon Waters, a native of Rutherford County, now resides in Dallas, North Carolina.

Sharon and her husband Chester have been married for thirty-four years.

Chester serves as the pastor of Ridge Baptist Church in Gastonia.

They have three sons; Jonathan, Jared, and Jamie, and six grandchildren; Jordan, Jeremy, Logan, Justin, Jaren, and Landon.

Sharon attended Isothermal Community College for two years, and has taken various courses at Gaston College and Cleveland Community College.

Much of her spare time is spent planning and working with the church children in Ridge Kids’ Bible Club on Sunday mornings and with the Team Kids on Wednesday evenings.

Sharon enjoys old movies, sewing, crafts, reading, and having the grandchildren over for the weekend.
